FAQ's
What age can my child start tennis coaching?
Children can start tennis coaching from 5 years of age.
What do I need for my coaching lessons?
Please wear comfortable clothing, which allows you to move freely, non-marking tennis shoes or runners and bring your tennis racquet.
In Summer please remember a hat, a water bottle and to wear sunscreen.
Tennis racquets are available to use at FREE trials if you do not have one, however, a racquet will need to be purchased if you decide to continue with coaching.
Can friends and family stay and watch?
Yes, parents/carers are welcome to stay and watch the lesson, however, we ask that friends/family stay off of the court for their safety and refrain from talking to the participant during the lesson to allow them to fully concentrate.
Luckily, the surroundings are wonderful with a modern playground, adult exercise equipment and oval. You could also pop to the local deli and get a coffee!
What happens if it rains? Are there catch-up classes?
In the case of wet weather (or extreme heat), the coach will assess if the conditions are considered unsafe or not. If the lesson is cancelled, you will receive a SMS advising of this at least 30 minutes before the lesson (unless there is a sudden downpour).
A cancelled class due to inclement weather (or extreme heat) is eligible for a catch up class. It is your responsibility to make contact to arrange a catch up class.
Catch up classes need to be organised within the current term and will not carry forward to the next term.
In the event, that your child does not attend a lesson for reasons other than weather, if we are not notified then there will be no catch-up class on offer.
We ask that if you know your child is unable to attend a lesson, that you let us know at your earliest convenience by sending a text message or email.
Can I get a refund on term fees if I decide not to continue?
No, once you have committed to a term and have paid, there are no refunds, however we are able to give you a credit to participate in a different term program which must be used by the next term.
All term fees must be paid within 14 days of receiving invoice, otherwise we will not hold your spot in the class and it will be available to someone else.
We are happy to discuss payment options with you.
Can I enrol after the term has started?
Yes, you can enroll after the term has started. Once you are registered and your lesson time is confirmed you will receive a pro-rated invoice, so you will only pay for the remainder of the lessons in the term.
Can I help my children with their tennis?
Yes, you sure can. Speak to your child and get them to show you what they have been learning.
Try to find time in your busy schedule to take your child to a local tennis court and help them practice what they are learning...you will find they will progress quicker.
